Day 1; 03.08.2025: Flight to Yerevan, arrival
Arrival at Svartnoz airport. After passport control, you will be met by our English-speaking guide. He will accompany you on your transfer to the hotel in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Day 2; 04.08.2025 City tour
After a short break at the hotel, we visit the following destinations on a stroll through the capital: La Cascade, a huge complex of light-colored travertine staircases rising 572 steps up the mountainside. Today, it houses the Museum of Contemporary Art. We'll also see the imposing Opera House, Republic Square - the heart of Yerevan - and visit the Matenadaran, the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, which boasts one of the richest collections in the world. Dinner in a traditional restaurant with folklore. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 3; 05.08.2025: From paganism to Christianity
Departure for Garni, where we visit the 1st-century pagan temple. Hike through the Garni Gorge, where the group will admire the unique basalt columns (reaching 300 m), also known as a symphony of stones. Departure for the Geghard monastery (13th century). Here, the group will taste sweet sudsoukh (foreigners call them Armenian snikers) and Armenian cakes.  Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan. 

Day 4; 06.08.2025: Amberd Fortress, Lake Kari 
Drive to Mount Aragats. At the foot of the mountain we visit the medieval fortress Amberd (2200m) and the church from the same period. Picnic and hike to Lake Kari (3190m). Overnight stay in tents by the lake.  

Day 5; 07.08.2025: The highest peak in Armenia, Aragats 
In the morning, the group will start climbing the highest peak of the mountain (4095m). After the descent, picnic and departure towards Yerevan. Overnight stay in a hotel in Yerevan.

Day 6; 08.08.2025: The blue pearl of Armenia
Drive to Lake Sevan. Visit to the churches on the peninsula of Lake Sevan, drive to the Goshavank Monastery. After visiting the monastery, the group will realise a beautiful hike to Lake Gosh. The lake is located high in the mountains, surrounded by forests. Overnight stay in the guesthouse in Alawerdi.

Day 7; 09.08.2025: Akhtala-Tbilisi
Visit to the medieval monastery of Akhtala. Continue to the border and then on to the capital of Georgia.  Overnight stay in a guesthouse in Kazbeki. 

Day 8; 10.08.2025: Djvari church - Ananuri - Stepantsminda  
Drive along the famous Georgian military road to Stepantsminda. On the way, visit the Djvari Church (7th century, UNESCO) with a panoramic view of Mtskheta (former capital of Georgia) and the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers. Visit to the fortified church of Ananouri on the Jinvali reservoir. Continue over the Cross Pass (2379 m). Overnight stay in a guesthouse in Stepantsminda (1700 m).  

Day 9; 11.08.2025: Stepantsminda - hike to the Betlehemi hut  
Transfer by 4x4 to the Gergetis Tsminda Sameba Church (Holy Trinity, 10th-11th century, 2200 m), then hike to the Gergeti Glacier (4-5 hours). Cross the Arsha Pass (2900 m), which offers a wonderful view of the glacier and Mount Kazbek. Continue to the glacier, where crampons are required. Ascent to the Betlehemi hut (3670 m). Overnight stay in a tent.  

Day 10; 12.08.2025: Acclimatisation day  
After breakfast, acclimatisation hike up to 4200 m. Exercises on ice with ice axe and crampons. Overnight stay in a tent.  

Day 11; 13.08.2025: Summit of Kazbek - 5047 m
From the weather station 12 km to the summit (approx. 10 hours). Departure around 2 am. On the way to the summit we walk with a rope. For the last 100 metres (slope of 40-45°) a fixed rope makes the ascent easier, depending on the conditions. Spectacular panoramic view at the summit with a view of Mount Elbrus in clear weather. Descent and overnight stay in a tent.  

Day 12; 14.08.2025: Reserve day - descent 
If yesterday did not work out, the reserve day is available today for a second summit attempt. If the weather is good, the group will descend to Kasbegi in peace.
Rest and overnight stay in the guesthouse in Stepantsminda.

Day 13; 15.08.2025: Capital of Georgia
Drive to Tbilisi. Free day. Possibility of various sightseeing tours, walks. 

Day 14; 16.08.2025: Return flight
Transfer to the airport and return flight.
