Day 1: Flight to Yerevan. Arrival in Yerevan, sightseeing
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. After the breakfast city tour in Yerevan. Visit to Matenadaran (Institute of ancient manuscripts). Visit to some hotels in the center of Yerevan. In the evening we have a dinner in a traditional restaurant with folklore. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 2: From Paganism to Christianity
Visit to the genocide memorial. Drive to the pagan temple Garni (1st century). Lunch in an armenian family. We will see how the traditional armenian bread Lavasch (UNESCO) is baked. Drive to the monastery Geghard ). Visit to some hotels in Yerevan (the list you will receive after the booking). Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3: At the heart of Christianity
Visit to the churches of Gayane (7th century), Hripsime (7th century) and the cathedral of Etchmiadzin (5th c.), the seat of Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On the way to Yerevan, visit to the ruins of Swartnots (7th century). All sights of this day are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Free evening. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 4: Mount Ararat
Trip to Khor Virap monastery. If we have good weather, a beautiful view opens up to Ararat. We continue our trip to the monastery Noravank, one of the more beautiful monasteries in Armenia. On the way we visit the wine factory in Areni. Here you have the opportunity to taste different types of wine. Return to Yerevan and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Departure
Transfer to the airport, departure.
